Alice P., born 1918 |
Alice had a simple dream: go to her favorite IHOP restaurant and have a turkey club sandwich with her family. It reminded her of years ago when she and friends would go dancing and eat at local diners which are almost extinct in her hometown now. Nothing would thrill her more than having a nice lunch at the local IHOP restaurant accopanied by her family. Her granddaughter submitted this dream request to Ageless Dreamer, who decided it was possible.
Alice never expected her usual Sunday routine to include what was about to happen. She was on cloud nine when her family members met her at her favorite IHOP with balloons and Ageless Dreamer decals. Through the bigheartedness of the IHOP restaurant of Salem, NH Alice and her family were treated a lunch together, which included her favorite turkey club sandwich and many other treats.
As lunch was completed and they prepared to leave, the rest of the dream unfolded. Thanks to the generosity of Regal Limousine Service of Nashua, NH Alice was greeted by a limo driver complete with top hat, gloves, and suit, who was to chauffeur Alice and her family through "memory lane". Memory Lane was Lowell, MA where she grew up in a family of 17 children! As youngsters, they had many memories there, and as adults they had their own family memories as well. Alice was glowing and feeling like a movie star.
When her special day was complete, the memory of this fabulous day remained in Alice's heart forever. Sitting in her recliner chair Alice would smile at the picture of her and her sister, Cecile, raising a toast to their fabulous, glamorous dream come true.
Cecile and Alice now...
...and then
