Lura, then Lura, now

George P., born 1919

For years George P., who lives in an assisted living home, Exeter, NH, had been dreaming about a computer and computer lessons. His face lit up with a huge smile at the possibility of his dream being realized. This dream was submitted to Ageless Dreamer by a Care Giver who has learnt to remember to ask elders if they have a dream. Internet access would help George have greater social interactions. Always thinking of others, George also wanted to share the computer with others as well and agreed to have the computer located in the hallway.

Thanks to the amazing pro bono generosity of both time and equipment, Timothy DeKorne, owner of One Second Computers & Communications, Dover, NH, helped Ageless Dreamer make George's long held dream come true. Realization of this dream made a difference not only in George's life, it also became a way for other residents to learn something new in life, and, as we all know, the learning process should never end. Finally, it helped to connect the residents with one another, building a greater community within the facility as they have this new and exciting joint experience to share.

One of the most surprising facts about ageless dreams is that dreamers are not the only ones experiencing the magic. Those, who give their time and effort to make a dream come true, are rewarded as well. Timothy DeKorne said it best: "It was the best feeling in a very long time to see his emotions."
